Judicial Philosophy

Judges must possess both the experience to understand the cases before them and the strength of character to apply the law consistently and fairly in each case. A community where the law is applied consistently in all cases is a community where every single litigant has an equal opportunity to protect their rights and defend themselves in court.

Judges do not have the policy-making power afforded to other elected officials, but what they do, and how well they do it, affects the very foundation of the community in a way that no other elected official can. If one’s interest is to affect policy, then one should run for the Legislature. Judges have to be completely neutral.

The courts are the last stop for parties who have been unable to find justice outside the courtroom. However, the best laws are useless if they are misapplied. For these reasons it is important for all of us to take the time to really consider the qualifications of the candidates who run for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

I have the experience and integrity to serve Milwaukee in this capacity, therefore I humbly ask for your support and your vote.
